Proposal
Process
CSIT’s Corporate Development
& Communication (CDC) office (see Contacts)
is our first point-of-contact with parties interested in the TIF.
We strongly recommend that you first contact the CDC prior to proposal
submission. Where possible, the CDC will assign a relevant technology
expert within CSIT to provide clarifications on the relevance and
significance of the R&D concept to CSIT, and to assist in the
development of the proposals.
There are two stages to the submission
of proposals for TIF funding.
STAGE 1 |
The Initial
Proposal |
| The Initial Proposal will provide a brief
write-up of the R&D problem as well as the expected deliverable. |
|
STAGE 2 |
The
Detailed Proposal |
If the Initial Proposal is successfully
accepted, we will request a second submission – a
Detailed Proposal – to be prepared and received within
60 days of our acceptance of the Initial Proposal. This
Detailed Proposal will elaborate on details such as the
project phasing as well as the resources required.
|
CSIT will reply to all Proposals
submitted before the end of the next calendar month from the receipt
of the latest revision. In some cases, we may request for a presentation
by the proposer.
Once the Detailed Proposal is
accepted, CSIT will enter into a Research Contract with the successful
party to fund the research, and the R&D project can then commence.
