We are seeking creators to submit challenges for TISC 2025. Selected challenges will receive an incentive of S$1,000 each. Challenge submissions are accepted till 29 June 2025.

Rules for Challenge Creation

  1. This challenge creation is open to Singapore citizens only.
  2. The submitted challenge idea should be novel, original and created by you. It must not have been previously published or used in any form in Singapore or anywhere in the world, or entered in any other competition.
  3. You may only submit 1 challenge.
  4. Before you submit your challenge, it is important that you understand and agree to the Terms and Conditions in the challenge creation form. Please e-sign the challenge creation form and submit it with your challenge.  
  5. You are to email your challenge to tisc_contactus@csit.gov.sg by 29 June 2025 with the relevant submission materials (listed below).
  6. If your challenge is selected for use during TISC 2025, you will receive an incentive of S$1,000. Please note that while you may still participate in TISC 2025 if your challenge is selected, you will not be eligible for prizes.
  7. Challenge submissions from CSIT employees, as well as staff seconded to CSIT, are not eligible for the $1,000 incentive.

Guidelines on Challenge Topic

Challenge submitted must be related to Infosecurity or Cybersecurity topics such as, but not limited to: Web Hacking, Forensics, Reverse Engineering, Binary Exploitation, Cryptography , Mobile Security, IoT, Pwn, OSINT, Web 3, Data Science (with applications in cybersecurity).

  1. Your challenge need not be limited to 1 topic (i.e., combination of more than 1 topic is welcome). 
  2. Level of difficulty should be tough yet solvable for someone with deep technical expertise, within reasonable time (i.e., 3 – 72 hours).
  3. Challenges should be creative, innovative, and interesting.
  4. Solutions to challenges must not require or suggest the need for server probing or brute-forcing.

Submission Materials

Challenge submissions are accepted from now till 29 June 2025. You are to email your challenge materials to tisc_contactus@csit.gov.sg. Please include the following:

  • Challenge creation form (with your e-signature)
  • Challenge question and files (what the participants will be shown). 
  • Setup README file.
  • Challenge source code, docker files, etc.
  • Challenge solution (write-up and script).
  • Challenge flag.
